You’re invited to Walk for the Canal!

A challenge to support your 71-mile High Line Canal, presented by the Friedman Family Foundation.

Join the High Line Canal Conservancy’s second-annual Walk FOR the Canal to raise much-needed funds for the historic High Line Canal trail. For 71 days starting August 1, we’re coming together as one Canal community - at your own pace, on your own time, in your own way - in support of the Canal.

Challenge: Set a distance-based goal and walk, run, ride, roll, skip or scoot anywhere you choose, on or off the Canal, over 71 days. Collect donations, win prizes & get moving outdoors!

Dates: August 1 – October 10 (71 days)

Location: Anywhere you’d like – on or off the Canal

NEW this year: Join the Bike FOR the Canal Challenge, a new way for cycling enthusiasts to participate, and receive a High Line Canal Primal Wear jersey for their 71-mile journey

Walk FOR the Canal allows participants to get involved in a variety of ways that fit their own schedules and motivation – join as an individual or get a team together and get moving for the Canal. Learn more and register today at highlinecanal.org/walk.

About The High Line Canal Conservancy

The High Line Canal Conservancy is a tax-exempt nonprofit formed in 2014 by a passionate citizens’ coalition to provide leadership and harness the region’s commitment to enhancing and permanently protecting the High Line Canal. With support from each jurisdiction and in partnership with Denver Water, the Conservancy is leading a collaborative and region-wide effort to ensure that the Canal is protected and enhanced for future generations. For more information, please visit www.highlinecanal.org.

The High Line Canal has long been a beloved asset across our region, but it is outliving its historic use as an irrigation channel. The High Line Canal Conservancy is working to preserve, protect and enhance this ecological and recreational resource by reimagining it as a 71-mile park.
